  • Jacwud OSB Veneer laminated board is laminated with hardwood veneer on both sides.

  • The Environment
  • Raw materials for Jacwud OSB are sourced from logs under the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) standards, fast growing trees and recycled tree parts such as unused branches, bark and wood strands from timber mills. Entire logs are used in the manufacturing process to ensure no part is wasted. Any wood waste will be repurposed, used as fuel or sold as a co-product. The binding agent used is a type of low-emitting resin which is environmentally safe.

  • Manufacturing Process
    • Log Sorting : Logs hurled to the mill and sorted
    • Debarking: The barks (skin) is removed , which will be used for fuel
    • Chipping: Logs chipped to certain sizes
    • Stranding: Chips will be flaked into precise dimensions of up to 4 inches long
    • Wet bins: Strands are deposited in to wet bins
    • Drying: Strands are dried to a uniform moisture level of 3%
    • Screening: Strands are sorted in to Core layer and surface layer, fine particles/dust is removed
    • Blending /Gluing: Blends with Resin and WAX to enhance the bonding and increases the moisture resistance
    • Forming Line:Strands go through forming line where CROSS directional layers are formed
    • Pressing: Layers are pressed under high temperature and pressure to form the panels
    • Cooling/Sizing and stacking: Panels are cooled, cut to sizes and packed for shipping
